Obituary of Sallie G. Meyer

Sallie Gladding Meyer, 84, of Winter Haven, passed away on June 24, 2021.

Sallie was born in San Diego, California on October 9, 1936. Sallie lived in numerous places across the United States traveling with her mother, Blanche and her sister, Molly to be with her father, Capt. Warren Gladding at the many Navy bases where he was posted.

She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Washington D.C., received a BS degree in Business from Florida State University and a Master’s Degree from USF. Sallie settled in Winter Haven and spent many years teaching Business and Computer classes at Haines City High School, Winter Haven High School, and Ridge Vo-Tech. Sallie and her husband Charlie both loved to travel and made many trips abroad together.

Sallie was preceded in death by her father, Capt. Warren Gladding, her mother, Blanche Gladding, and her sister, Molly Connelly.

Sallie is survived by her husband Charles Meyer, sons; David Bindschadler, John Bindschadler, and James Bindschadler, [Kelly] and grandchildren; Chad Gardner, Leah Gardner, and Hailee Bindschadler.

A Memorial Service will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Winter Haven at 1pm on Saturday July 3rd, 2021, followed by a reception in the Parrish Hall.
