Obituary of Marion R. Roberts

Marion Riefenstahl Roberts, 92 died peacefully on December 26, 2021 at Life Care Center in Winter Haven, Florida. Born in 1929 to Edward and Mildred Riefenstahl in Wilkes Barre, PA. She is preceded in death by parents, her loving husband, Thomas J., son, Thomas D., brother’s Edward and Robert Riefenstahl and grandson David Roberts. Marion is survived by: sons Donald (Florence) and James, daughter-in-law Frieda, grandchildren Timothy, Caryn, Thomas, Martha, Clinton, Jeffery, Alan, Marion, Geraldine, Cole, Jaimes and numerous nieces nephews and great grandchildren. Marion and Tom raised their family in Conshohocken and Eagleville for over 50 years and had a rich life with all their friends and relatives.

Marion’s passion besides being devoted to the United Methodist Church was painting, crafts and the thirst of knowledge to learn something new, and always want to share these with others. She painted a painting for each of her children and grandchildren. Several years after she retired as the librarian for The United Methodist Conference Center in Trooper, PA, Marion and Tom moved to Sunny Florida as Tom liked to call it. They flourished in the warmth of the area which included meeting new friends. They joined Saint John’s United Methodist Church and were active members. Marion started the Bear Sewing Group which provided handmade bears to children at police stations and hospitals, the group has grown and expanded since its start. Before residing to Life Care Center she was in assisted living at Brookdale and she enjoyed her recreational activities in that community.

Marion was a dedicated Christian and always strived to live her life toward fellowship with the lord and mankind. She was also a dedicated mother, made cookies for school, taught us how to fish, and took the time to help us study. She was an example of how to live a full life with God in it. Her family will truly miss her dearly.

Because of COVID a memorial service will be determined in the future. The family encourages everyone to share on the Tribute Wall.
