Obituary of Evelyn "Evie" Wilson

Evelyn (Evie) Wilson, born April 30, 1940 passed away at the age of 81 years on March 5, 2022. She was many things to many people, a wife, a sister, an aunt, a mom, a grandma and a friend, and she will be missed each and every day. To her children she was a strong, independent and fiercely protective and proud mom. 

She enjoyed filling her home with her children whenever we all got to Winter Haven. We would gather around the table filled with food and eat until we were stuffed. For about a minute it would be quiet, then we would all talk and laugh at once telling stories of our childhood. 

Mom’s birds were the fattest on Red Fox Drive. She fed them everyday and watched them from her chair, or the couch. The sandhill cranes were one of her favorites, especially when they had their babies. 

Evie is survived by her husband of more than 60 years, Bill, and her children Melanie, Janet (Leo), Karen (Dan), Bob (Janine) and Mike (Diana), and nieces, nephews and grandchildren. 

There are no funeral services planned at this time. In the future the family hopes to gather to remember and share the life of our amazing mom.
